The Tay Shore Trail is a 20 km paved Rail Trail providing excellent bicycle access along the Georgian Bay shoreline all the way to Midland. The trail is accessed just two miles from the Cottages off Coldwater Road in the town of Waubaushene. 705-534-7248x235.
		The Big Chute Marine Railway, near Coldwater, part of the Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site, is the only marine railway of its kind in North America, carrying boats up a hill on a rail carriage instead of raising them by water. 705-756-8802.

The Miss Midland 30,000 Islands Boat Cruises is a 2 1/2-hour sightseeing cruise of Georgion Bay, departing from Midland. Dinner cruises are also available. (Toll free) 888-833-2628.
The Georgian Bay Islands National Park includes all or part of 59 islands along the southeastern portion of Georgian Bay and includes many scenic hiking, picnicking, boating, camping, and fishing opportunities. The park can be accessed by boat only; the easiest access is from Honey Harbour. 705-526-9804.
The Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre, near Midland, offers tours of its wildlife and wetlands. Hiking, canoeing, and kayaking are also available. 705-526-7809.
Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, also near Midland and associated with the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre, is a living museum recreating a French Jesuit mission to the Hurons from 300 years ago. 705-526-7838.
		Discovery Harbour, in Penetanguishene, is a picturesque 19th century British Naval and Military site on scenic Penetanguishene Harbour. The site includes 15 reconstructed buildings, an archeological dig, and two fully rigged replicas of 19th century schooners. 705-549-8064.
Castle Village and the Enchanted Kingdom Park, also near Midland, features detailed fairy-tale tableaux in near full-size houses. Includes a great playground for little kids, a big sandbox, nature walks, a haunted house (for older kids), and a gift shop. 705-526-9683.
